Elda Elementary has been named a School of Distinction and has an Excellent with Distinction rating from the state of Ohio. The school serves 630 students in grade levels kindergarten through four. Elda believes in meeting the child at their level and moving them forward. In order to meet the needs of all students, Elda uses a balanced literacy approach to reading and writing.  Elda knows the importance of students being actively involved in their learning and the staff strives for hands-on learning experiences.

 

MISSION STATEMENT

All Elda Elementary students will succeed to their fullest potential.  The students will strive for personal academic excellence, be active learners and problem-solvers in a nurturing environment, be supported through a partnership between school, parents and community, develop positive self-esteem as well as respect for others and our world, and become life-long learners.

Title I

Elda Elementary is a Title I served building. Federal money is used to supplement reading instruction in kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. Parents may request information regarding the professional qualifications of their child’s Title I and classroom teacher.

Parents may request policies regarding student participation in state-mandated assessments
